Hey! So I browsed the your gallery. Very nice! You are really good at integrating the layers and textures into your art pieces. Not only that, but you do it so that they compliment the colors, and feelings in the pieces.
Thanks! I'm always looking to improve. It's really neat to me that even though I haven't actively drawn anything for years, my doodles have improved! It really pays to observe the world carefully, I guess, because of the translation to your work.
And actually, I disagree with you - I don't think I'm very good at putting emotion into my art. I think I'm fairly good at character sketches, but I'm not good at bringing the characters to life. I'd like to get better at this.
I really like your gallery, too, and I am especially impressed by your amazing use of mixed media! How fun! Balsamic vinegar and food coloring? Yes, please. (I saw an amazing piece once done entirely with eyeshadow that I would try to emulate if only I owned makeup). I want you to post something new! Maybe by the fourth of July? It'd be a good challenge, I think. Maybe for me, too.
