The colors look disgusting and muddy because I can't figure out how to adjust the color settings on my Mac. The colors are much redder and vibrant while I'm working on it in Photoshop CS, but when I save it the colors go funky. If you know how to fix this please enlighten me. (pleaseplease)
I have no experience with digital painting aside from crazy amounts of airbrushing, so if ANYONE has any tips, ideas, or advice to make this look better lemme know. Don't bother commenting about fixing the lineart because it's two years old and hopefully I've improved a leeetle since then. The tail is huge because I was inspired by Alphonse Mucha and his crazy circles his backgrounds. I don't intend to shade the hair at all. Finally, my challenge to myself was to color without using an airbrushing, soft brushes, or dodge and burn.
I just finished an Organic Chemistry midterm on Monday and the science-y side of my brain screamed for a break so I started coloring old lineart and had a jolly good time.
I want to get the colors done so I can make a background! :B
This will be moved to scraps in a few days...I just wanted to get some feedback and prove to the world that I'm not yet dead.
Wow. This is really beautiful. I have been on a disney kick as well and have been meaning to try drawing in a more Disney style. Anyhow. I'm not sure what I can say as far as suggestions. I think the way you're coloring it is turning out super fantastic and I can't wait to see the rest of it colored. I think for the background, you should try and do a painty feel of water instead of using a photo. I really really love your coloring of this so far. I know that you did the tail a bit differently, but it seems a bit too long. It looks nice, but perhaps a tiny bit too long. <3

Get your creative juices flowing and design a movie poster for "Paper Heart" that focuses on the theme "What Does Love Mean to Me?".
The butter legion- a socialist movement/mass colab project I started, to trigger artistic change and evolution in Da artists (mainly my watchers), to make them more active and dedicated on DA. Now 170 people strong and growing... A "dangerous cult"? a "new religion"? "artistic version of fight club" or "communist movement"? You decide!
