For the first time in two years I have both a working copy of photoshop and a working scanner!

I'm trying to work on some of the sketches I started last summer because I haven't been in a draw-y mood lately. I'm not going to jinx myself by saying anything will get posted, but things ARE getting colored.

I'm really happy to be doing arty things again.

Also, I got 100% on my Physics midterm!

WHY THERE ARE NO UPDATES:

Finals suck ass.

I'm a science-y major so all the studying I've been doing is making me sick of math and logic and reason and has instilled in me a great desire to be creative. Thus, I have doodled, but I have gotten no farther than that. I still am unable to scan anything (but I can take digital photos which is probably just as good) and I don't really have time to color. :< This is a shame, because I would really like to finish some of the gift art I've started!

So maybe over Winter Break I'll be able to get something drawn and posted. Unlikely, but maybe.

I honestly just don't have time for art anymore. Organic Chemistry does that to you.

In more cheerful news, Happy Holidays everyone! I hope you have a great end-of-year. Also, Rice Krispie Treats are pretty much amazing. Yeah.

It's kind of interesting, but in my "hiatus" for the past year or so I've really found out who's interested in actually being my friend on DA versus those who are just interested in my art.

Don't get me wrong, I think you need both kinds of people to have a fun and dynamic experience at Deviantart, but it's good to see who likes you superficially and who likes you for more than the art you submit.

As a result, I'm going to try to put together a little "thank-you" for some of the people who have supported me for a long while. I don't know if I'll actually get this done, or if I'll be able to thank every person who deserves it, but I'm going to try!

I miss art and with my first year of college finally reaching its close I hope to start drawing more over the summer.

WHO HAS PHOTOSHOP? Why, I think it is me, thanks to the incredibly generous scanner requires a driver that'll be out in a few weeks. Maybe some art then, or maybe some colored lineart before then.

I've got an assload of hw since the quarter ends in a few weeks, but if people want to throw lineart at me while I relearn how to color in Photoshop that might be cool. Who knows if I'd actually get anything done, but it still might be fun. I need to go restock my brush and stock-photo supplies, so if anyone also wants to recommend some good sources for those I'd be pretty grateful!
